INSTALLATION

Although our primary focus is narrow gauge, we provide a complete custom and kit
building service in addition to modifications to your specifications on any
Ready-to-Run standard or narrow gauge locomotive in HO, S, O and larger scales.  
We are able to install DCC or DCC with sound in any O and larger scale locomotive.

Your cost depends on the scale, type locomotive, and the amount of work involved.

Rickety Rails Models Soldering Kit
contains:
Fry's WaterFlow, a new and better Flux. Carr's Lowmelt C 70° & Detail C 145° solders

These solders are lead based and ideal for soldering brass to brass, white metal (pewter) to brass
and pewter to pewter, and when combined with Fry's WaterFlow flux are perfect for those pewter
and brass kits

Kit provides sufficient amounts to build two 'O' scale brass and pewter locos

A little about Rickety Rails Models

Although Rickety Rails Models was founded as a business in September 2000, Paul Dougherty, the owner, has been modeling for well
over fifty years primarily building kit or scratch locomotives in brass.  He is known for his soldering abilities and passing these to other
modelers in his soldering clinics at various shows through the US. Rickety Rails Models also sells the finest adhesives on the market,
Dr. Mike's Model'n Crafters Glue, Dr. Mike's 2 Model'n Crafter's Glue and Lightning Bond as well as a Low Melt Soldering Kit that allows
the modeler to solder white metal (pewter) to brass.  Dr. Mike's Model'n Crafters Glue, Dr. Mike's 2 Model'n Crafter's Glue and
Lightning Bond will only be sold at certain train shows and not direct from Rickety Rails Models.
